Pandora’s Box of Evil Slot Review

Pandora's Box of Evil is a video slot game with Greek myths as its main source of influence. The title itself is a warning not to underestimate the power of Pandora. When playing the game, we were transported to a beach setting, possibly in Greece. The reels were flanked by two blazing fires, and two pillars loomed on either side, their height extending beyond what we could see. The backdrop is a reddish-toned sky, creating an air of mystery and intrigue. The game comes with 4 unique bonus features in the form of Mystery Symbol, Mystery Wild, Spirit of Hope, and of course, Free Spins. Read our review to be prepared for all the intricacies this slot has to offer!

Pandora’s Box of Evil Bonus Features

Wild Symbol

Just your regular wild symbol that you can find in many other slots out there. Nothing special, but still helpful sometimes.

Mystery Symbol

This symbol can appear randomly anywhere on the reels and show all paying symbols of the same kind. Also, there is a chance that individual Mystery Symbol can show a Scatter or Spirit of Hope Symbols instead.

Mystery Wild

There is a possibility that each Mystery Symbol may be replaced by a Mystery Wild. This symbol may show up with a multiplier ranging from x2 to x5 that applies to the paylines that this wild is a part of. If there are two or more multipliers on the same line, they are added together.

Spirit of Hope

If the Spirit of Hope Symbol appears as a product of the Mystery Symbol, it activates the Spirit of Hope Re-spin feature. During this feature, all Mystery, Scatter, and Wild Symbols on the reels are locked in place while the remaining symbols are respun. The Mystery Symbols will close during the re-spin and then reopen, revealing a random symbol to potentially create more winning combinations.

Free Spins

To activate the bonus round, players must collect 3 Scatter Symbols anywhere on the screen, which will award them with 8 Free Spins. During this feature, any Mystery Wilds that appear on the reels are locked in place until the end of the bonus round. Additionally, landing 1, 2, or 3 additional Scatter Symbols this feature will reward the player with an additional 2, 5, or 8 extra spins, respectively.

Our Experience Playing Pandora’s Box of Evil

As we initiated the game, we were welcomed by a simplistic reelset and a majestic soundtrack. With various slot machines sporting an Ancient Greek theme on the market, standing out among the competition is no easy task. We were curious if the game's simplicity was the primary selling point, as we initially assumed. Although we were drawn in by the straightforward appearance and captivating soundtrack, the most critical aspect for gamblers is the machine's reward system. To test this, we deposited the standard amount of 200 Euros, set the stake to 1 Euro, and played for approximately 300 rounds. During the first 100 spins, the payout was lackluster, with only eight times the initial bet being somewhat decent. The majority of rewards ranged from 0.5-1x the stake. Despite not triggering the bonus round or earning any substantial winnings in the main game, we lost approximately 50 Euros. We were aware of the machine's high volatility and remained optimistic that our luck would turn around. The subsequent 100 spins proved fruitful, as we triggered the bonus round and received a payout of around 60 times our bet thanks to the Mystery Wild feature. However, after 200 spins, we were still down 40 Euros despite the sizable bonus and numerous rewards close to ten times the stake. In the final 100 rounds, we witnessed a change in fortune as Pandora seemed more generous. We earned several great wins in the main game totaling around 50 Euros and another decent bonus round with a payout of approximately 50 Euros. Ultimately, we were 20 Euros worse off, but we enjoyed the experience despite our losses.

Pandora’s Box of Evil Verdict

With its simple gameplay and promising payout potential, this slot machine has the potential to become a prominent member of the Pantheon of Greek themed slot collection. However, it is essential to note the importance of knowing when to stop trying to conquer slots with high volatility like this one. Although the opportunity to earn substantial winnings in a short amount of time exists, the risk of losing all of one's money is equally likely. Proceed with caution and enjoy the game responsibly. Best of luck!
