Pearl Harbor Bonus Features
Avalanche Feature
Instead of the reels spinning, the symbols just drop down into place on the screen. When a winning combination is formed, the symbols in that combination explode and vanish, making room for a second Avalanche of symbols that may result in larger prizes. The Avalanches will continue as long as there are still matches happening.
Multiplier
Before being multiplied by the Cluster size payment value, multipliers on winning symbols in Clusters are always totalled along with any potential round multiplier from earlier xBombs. Only then are they multiplied by the Cluster size.
You start with a 3x3 active playing area. The following symbols will result in an expansion of that area: xBomb explosions, Targets, and Colossal symbols. However, the reelset resets to its initial size of 3x3 with each new spin.
- xBomb Wild Multiplier. The xBomb Wild may remove up to ten of the symbols that are next to it in the active area when it detonates. xBombs will only detonate if they are placed inside that area. If an xBomb is near to the boundary of the active area, it will cause the border of that area to shift by one reel or row. If the xBomb is located in one of the four corners of the active area, it will cause that area to grow by one reel and one row. If the xBomb is divided, the first split will result in a multiplier of x2, and subsequent splits will enhance that multiplier by a factor of times 2 each time. When a xBomb detonates, the win multiplier for the subsequent avalanche will be increased by a factor of +1 or by the number of (x)-Multipliers it has been divided into. Before the following avalanche, every xBomb will go off and destroy everything in its path. Scatter symbols and Wilds that have been changed into other forms will not be removed if they are not part of a win cluster.
- Target. The Target symbols may appear in any position on the reels. If a Target symbol appears anywhere on the screen, the active reel area will expand such that the target symbol becomes a part of the rectangle that makes up the area. Once a Target symbol has landed and become part of the active reel area, it will change into a Wild symbol.
- xSplit. The xSplit symbol has the form of a samurai sword and divides all symbols in the direction of the handle of the sword. xSplit symbols begin with either one or two swords, and each sword may point in either the horizontal or the vertical direction. However, each sword can only point in one way at a time. Only when the xSplit symbol is present in the active reel region and the avalanche has come to a halt will it activate. When one xSplit symbol is divided by another xSplit symbol, the symbol that was split will get an extra sword pointing in a different direction. A new split will add a times 2 multiplier if an xSplit symbol already has 4 swords attached to it. If an xSplit symbol already has a multiplier, then when it is triggered, all of the symbols that it divides will either get the xSplits multiplier or have their existing multiplier multiplied by the xSplits multiplier. When struck by an xSplit, scatter symbols, target symbols, and xBombs get a multiplier of two times their normal value. Repeatedly using xSplit on multiplied symbols causes the multiplier value to be increased by a factor of two. As soon as the split is complete, the xSplit symbol transforms into a Wild symbol. The Wild symbol is awarded a multiplier that is proportional to the number of swords it previously had, and any potential multiplier will multiply the sword multiplier amount.
- Colossal Symbol. When a Colossal symbol lands on the active reel area, the active reel area will enlarge its rectangular shape to fit it, and the Colossal symbol will be included into it. Colossal symbols may have a size of either 2x2 or 3x3 and a multiplier of either x2 or x3. They are originally counted as a single symbol in any conceivable Cluster they may be a part of. When a 3x3 sign is split, it first separates into 3 separate symbols, which may happen either vertically or horizontally depending on the direction from which the split originates. Regardless of the direction in which the first xSplit occurs, the second xSplit will cause the Colossal symbol to split in the other way, producing a 3x3 symbol. The third xSplit will divide each of the 9 symbols in half, bringing the total number of symbols to 18. Fourth xSplit will either give each symbol from the original Colossal symbol a multiplier of x2 or double each individual multiplier by 2. For 2x2 Colossal symbols identical concepts are used.
Dogfight Feature
3 Scatter symbols activate the Dogfight feature. The Dogfight feature begins with 3 spins and is played within the cockpit of a fighter jet, which has 18 dials on its instrument panel. The dials on the instruments panel begin to spin in unison, and the result may be a (x) multiplier, a (+) multiplier, or nothing at all. The number of spins will be reset to 3 whenever a multiplier is collected. When multipliers land, they remain active until such time as they have contributed their respective values to the round's overall multiplier. First, the total of all active (+) multipliers is calculated, then all active (x) multipliers are multiplied, and finally, the resulting amount is added to the round multiplier. The (x) multipliers that are now active will stay that way until a (+) multiplier appears. If you are lucky enough to land 4 scatter symbols, the Tora! Tora! Tora! Bonus Mode will be triggered. Our Experience Playing Pearl Harbor
