Money Train 2 Slot Review

Money Train 2 is a video slot from Relax Gaming that was released on September 2, 2020. The layout of the Money Train 2 slot machine is really impressive. The aesthetics of the Wild West have somewhat of a steampunk flavor to them. The environment is a dusty and rather rundown desert village. The visual shown here is top-notch, and it is supported by an evocative soundtrack that has an undertone of country music. Even though it's filthy and dingy, it manages to capture the feel of a frontier town in the far future. The Money Train serves as the backdrop for the reels. Read our review to decide whether it is worth your time and money playing it.

Money Train 2 Bonus Features

Respin Feature

When two bonus symbols appear, regardless of their position, the Respin feature will always be activated. After the feature has been activated, each of the bonus symbols will then show a multiplier of some kind. The multipliers are totalled up, and re-spins are given out until a win can be made up. The multiplier will grow by one with each spin that does not result in a win.

Money Cart Bonus Round

To trigger the Money Cart bonus round, gather 3 or more BONUS symbols. When trying to initiate the Money Cart bonus round, you may use the Persistent (gold) symbols as a stand-in for the BONUS symbols. Once the bonus round has begun, the symbols that triggered the feature will each show a value. This value will be shown as a multiplier of the wager and you will receive 3 spins. In the event that the bonus round was activated with the help of a Persistent symbol, the behavior of that symbol will be revealed before the first spin. Once one of the reels is completely covered with symbols, another reel will come into play on the left or the right side of the screen. Within the confines of a single bonus round, this may take place no more than twice. In the event that all extra reels are exposed and a symbol is positioned in each and every available position, the bonus round will come to a close while simultaneously providing a prize equal to 500 times the wager that was utilized to activate the feature.

During the bonus round, only the bonus symbols with multipliers or special bonus symbols with different functions can appear on the screen, including:

 - Bonus Symbol. Shows a value that is anything from 1 to 10 times the amount that was wagered.

 - Golden Bonus Symbol. Displays a value that is between 20 and 200 times the amount wagered.

 - Payer. A value is revealed as a multiple of the stake, and that value is added to the values of all other symbols that are visible on the reels.

 - Collector. Multiplies the wager, adds all the bonus symbols on the reels to its value, and reveals the result.

 - Collector/Payer. Reveals a value as a multiplication of the wager, then adds the total of all other visible values to its own value, and finally adds the updated value to all of the other symbols that are visible on the reels.

 - Sniper. It reveals a value as a multiplier of the stake, and it also doubles the values of anywhere from 3 to 8 additional bonus symbols. It is possible for it to have the effect multiple times on the same bonus symbol.

 - Necromancer. Multiplies the wager and resurrects between 2 and 7 non-persistent  bonus symbols that have already been used.

 - Reset Plus. The result of multiplying the stake by this amount is revealed, and the initial value of the number of spins remaining in the round is increased by one.

 - Persistent Payer. During the current spin and any subsequent spins, it shows a multiplier of the current stake and adds that value to all other visible symbols. This symbol isn't self-paying.

 - Persistent Sniper. At the conclusion of that spin and every spin that comes after it, it reveals a value that is a multiplication of the bet, and it also doubles the values of 3 to 8 additional bonus symbols. It is possible for it to have multiple effects on the same bonus symbol.

 - Persistent Collector. Reveals a value that is equal to the bet multiplied by a random number, then once the spin is over it compiles all of the values that were visible on the reels and adds them to its own value. This process continues after every spin. This symbol does not accumulate its own value on its own.

Buy Feature

Because of this feature, the player has a chance to activate the Money Cart bonus round for the 100x the bet.

Our Experience Playing Money Train 2

When we first began playing the game, we were presented with a location and music that were already known to us. However, this time around, they had a rather menacing yet encouraging undertone to them. It was time to test this one with our tried-and-true method of making a deposit of 200 Euros, setting the stake to 1 Euro, and giving it somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 spins. We had a decent result in terms of payouts when we played the original game, and we expected to see a similar result this time. The first 100 spins were very dry in terms of payouts, with a maximum payout of only 8.60 Euros. As a result of it, our bankroll dropped down to 125.30 Euros. This is a usual occurrence that can be seen with slots with such volatility, so we did not lose hope and continued spinning. It seemed like the next one hundred spins were even worse, and our balance became 65.20 Euros. We had just begun our last one hundred spins when we triggered the Money Cart Bonus Round. This round was kind enough to provide us with one Persistent Sniper and one Persistent Collector, which ultimately resulted in the incredible figure of 34,408 Euros being awarded to us at the game's conclusion. That seems to be more indicative of EXTREME volatility than just high... A reward of that size during the first bonus round, but nothing throughout the previous two hundred spins of the game. During our time spent playing it, we were treated to a memorable experience that left us feeling really satisfied.

Money Train 2 Verdict

This is a decent sequel to the original game with a steampunk twist to it. Although it appeared to us that the rewards during the regular game occurred a little bit less often than they did in Money Train, this was compensated for during the bonus round. The volatility of this slot is really high, and it seems more riskier than the manual makes it sound like it should be. Because of its high level of volatility, you should go into the game with a substantial bankroll and adjust the amount of your bets appropriately. Even though we had good luck, there was still a very good possibility that we might have lost everything pretty soon. If you enjoyed the first installment of the Money Train franchise, you will most certainly like the second installment just as much. Good luck and have fun!
