Random Features
Before the reels come to a complete stop at the conclusion of each spin, there is a possibility that one of the following features may become active:
- Random Wilds. This feature allows wild symbols to appear in random positions on the reels. Each trigger has the potential to give anywhere from 1 to 4 wilds.
- Wild Reel. Wild symbols will appear in every place on a certain number of randomly chosen reels. Each trigger has a chance of awarding anything from 1 to 3 wild reels.
- Colossal Reels. Some adjacent reels will join together at random. When the reels are joined together, they spin larger images. When the reels stop, each space that the larger image takes up is counted as a separate 1x1 symbol on the reels. This is how wins on the lines are calculated. During the feature, the fused reels can make 2x2, 3x3, or 4x4 big symbols.
- Random Multiplier. At the start of the spin, a random multiplier of 2, 3, 4, or 5x is shown. This multiplier is added to all line wins.
- Symbol Upgrade. A lower-paying symbol with at least one visible on the reels is chosen at random, and all of the places where this symbol is on the reels are changed to a higher-paying symbol chosen at random. To be clear, the number of upgraded symbols from the feature is the same as the number of the lower symbol that is already on the reels.
- Repeat Win. A winning spin will repeat itself for free between 2 and 5 times.

Trail Bonus
The Trail Bonus starts when you get 3 or more Scatter Symbols. During the trail bonus, Armadillo starts at the beginning of a game board with a trail of spaces, each of which has a prize, a feature, or a snake. Repeatedly, a random number of bullets from 1 to 6 are put into a gun. This number is the same as the number of spaces the Armadillo moves to the right, landing on the same spaces on the trail like in a board game. The player gets the item on the space they land on after each random move from 1 to 6. This will keep happening until the player lands on a snake that has no more hearts. Or, if the player makes it all the way to the end of the trail, he or she will get a prizepot of 2000x in addition to any other prizes won during the bonus. Armadillo starts out with no hearts.
Here is the list of items that can be seen on the trail:
- Coins. Gives the amount of credit shown on the space. Credit amounts range from 1x to 200x, which can be doubled to 2x-400x after landing on the Double item.
- Double. All credit amounts on the board, including the prizepot, are doubled when you collect this item.
- Forward x Spaces. The player will move up a number of spaces chosen at random between 1 and 6. The player is given the random new space they landed on, including the snake symbol, which can end the bonus.
- Back x Spaces. The player will move back a number of spaces between 1 and 6 that will be chosen at random. The player is given the random new space they landed on, including the snake symbol, which can end the bonus.
- Heart. One more heart is given to the player. The player starts the bonus with no hearts. If the Armadillo lands on a snake, it uses up a heart and the bonus continues. The bonus ends if the Armadillo lands on a snake with no hearts left.

Our Experience Playing Armadillo Goes West
When we started playing the game, we were greeted with a nicely drawn reelset, well composed soundtrack, and our main character standing on the left side. Since there are a lot of slots out there that have all of these components present, it was not enough to come to the conclusion that this slot was a must play in our book. Since most gamblers care most about how much the slot machine can pay out, it was our job to test it for you. We used our tried-and-true method to finish this job, which was to put down 200 euros, lower the stake to 1 euro, and play the game for around 300 rounds. During our first 100 spins, the payouts were very dismal until we triggered the Free Spins Bonus Feature and with the help of Colossal Reels and Repeat Win features we managed to win 118 times our bet. After our first attempt, we made 40 Euros of profit and thought it was a good start. During the next 100 spins, the situation was somewhat similar, except this time there were no Free Spins, and because of that we ended up losing around 30 Euros. During our final 100 spins we finally triggered the most exciting part of this slot - The Trail Bonus, we had some action during it, and ended up winning 120 our bet thanks to the Coins we gathered along the way and collected the Double item. Overall, after 300 spins, we ended up winning around 47 Euros and left the game quite satisfied with our experience playing this slot.
